NEW BALANCE SUPER TEAM 33 LUGGAGE PACK

This week brings the arrival of the first Super Team 33 release of 2008. All built on the New Balance 998 silhouette, inspired by luggage and released at only 33 retailers worldwide.

Each one of the three designs is evocative of a different sort of travel gear.

The first is inspired by high-end luxury luggage with sophisticated materials and brown contrast stitching. Available for $200 USD.

The second shoe is inspired by a vintage traveling trunk, with soft leathers this style brings the well traveled trunk in the form of a great looking shoe. Available for $200 USD.

The third shoe in the series is built to appear more modern and features black nubuck and patent leathers with ballistic mesh. Available for $200 USD.

From humble beginnings, Japanese artist Usugrow has created a real name for himself. From initial partnerships in his infancy with The Hundreds to successful showings with names like Mike Giant, his recent book Love Hate From Jp offers a perspective on his favorite personal works. Mike 23 Collection For S/S 08

Scott Nelson, the man behind the label MIKE23, showcased the latest for 2008 at the Magic trade show earlier this month. Certainly, over the last 3 years, MIKE23 has grown from a fun experiment out of Nelson’s apartment, into a brand recognized through out the world. The growth is clear it MIKE23’s product portfolio. This year, aside from its staples of t-shirts & hoodies, the brand will also focus on categories, like a new take on the M-65 jacket and down puffer coat. In the mix are also short sleeve button shirt in bold gingham check and polk-dots patterns. The Spring/Summer items will be available in store in between March and April while the outerwear will be available as part of Fall/Winter collection towards September of this year.
